Hourglass FigureA Poem by Natalia Queen
Everything I ever wanted
you made me feel like I could have it everything I ever wanted in the palm of my hands slipped through like sand A series of unfortunate events flipped over the hourglass again, and we had a chance to change what could have been your love was one of a kind, and I dropped it in the ocean of bloodstains The winter always stays I can see it on your face I wish I knew what to say imprinted myself on you like a tattoo that never healed every winter the bitter loneliness gets infected again And the question begs Who should we hold onto? Scars will fade Memories will too I wish I knew what to tell you In another lifetime we will try again I love you I miss you I promise I will see you again.
