Trying to keep a promise (self-harm)

Trying to keep a promise (self-harm)

A Poem by clean4eek

I weep from the guilt of the incisions I made,
confused why i'd like to make a few more.
Just a nice quick slice on my forearm with a blade.
The decision to do it or stop has me torn.
I must fight the urge and keep myself restricted,
Before i'm beyond help because i'm addicted.

This is very good. It shows how hard a struggle it actually is. I made the same promise to my sister. I don't think they get how impossible it is to keep. Your really talented. Keep writing.

It is strange the kind of relief that can come from cutting yourself open...Its like the days pain and torment flows right out with the blood and I understand the addiction. You must try to understand that doing this only punishes and hurts yourself...and tomorrow you will still have problems they will leave scars why add more? That being said I love the raw emotion in this poem and the struggle. Great write.
