Why is it Okay to Change Majors?A Story by clcd699the topic is for any student who is confused in college. Why is it Okay to Change Majors? Sometimes in life, we don't know what we really wanted, making us roam around and explore, what our hearts desire as if when we get to do something that we're not interested in, then we would just know what our hearts really wants to do, making us change the path we chose before into something new, and that's fine because doing something we don't like makes us truly know ourselves better. Since the beginning of my college journey as a BSPT student, it has been hard for me because I've noticed that the more I stay there, I found that it's making me more and more uninterested in what we do in all of our professional course subjects so at first I really did ignored it but eventually the truth has been set free on what my heart and soul felt there, that I feel I don't belong there as if I should be doing what my heart really desires to do. Making myself stay there has opened a lot of questions in my mind that does doing this makes me happy and proud of myself, or should I be still doing this if I've found out, I am really not that passionate about it, making myself more to zone out my mind whenever we're having online classes because I feel that the more I stay there it just made my soul devastated, for doing something I am not interested in. Getting to do something you don't like makes it hard for you to look forward to it, every single day of your life that if ever you would graduate from it. You would still prefer to do something you have passion for because life is too short to keep choosing aspirations you're not proud of. Some people only get to know what they wanted to do in their lives, only when they're doing something they don't like. For me, that's just fine because then you get to know yourself better and the other options you can still have on where you would redirect your path, just think deeper before you impulsively decide for yourself on where should you change your current major for. And if ever you would continue staying on something you don't desire to do in the future it would just shatter all the dreams you have entirely decided for yourself to conquer before your shifting phase-in college actually begins. College is a phase in your life in which you would truly know yourself better so don't fret if ever you feel that you've ended up doing something you don't desire. for there is the option called shifting wherein it allows a student to change to a new major that they feel they're fond of doing. Also if you would change your major that you're currently in, into something new that you've decided for yourself because you feel that you must be there, for the reason that you felt that it is really what you want to do in your future, that's just fine because there are also some cases just like you, that also happened on other students in college so don't be afraid if you would leap yourself onto a new major that you would be more interested in. And in conclusion, that it is evident that some students in college don't know what they're getting themselves in making them do something they're not interested in, then later on when they get to stay there longer, there comes the time wherein they would eventually know what they wanted to do in their future because sometimes, getting to do something we hate would make us know what our hearts really wanted to do in the future that even if the progress for our goal gets hard, we would stay firm with it because that is what we uniquely decided for ourselves and that is what we wanted to do in the future.
