Lonely NightsA Poem by IvoryIt was late at night, I couldn’t sleep,
Needing an instant gratifying release;
I closed my eyes and pictured you.
And all the things we use to do.
How you would reach for me,
While lying in bed;
Your fingers circling my thighs,
No words said.
Melting into the sheets,
Overwhelming heat;
Doesn’t take long for me to reach my peak;
Your body covers mine.
And inside me,
You come alive.
Stroking and holding me tight.
A beautiful way to end the night;
Suddenly I open my eyes…
Remembering, your not here,
My eyes swell with tears.
It was just one of many moments,
I know I must leave behind,
Comfort in my thoughts of you, I still find.
Recapture our love again, we might.
Do you think of me,
When you can’t sleep at night?
