Our WeekendA Poem by IvoryA Sestina form poem about being a working mother, I'm sure many can relate. Another poem that I had post before.Sitting under the sky, clear blue; What a treat to enjoy such weather.
We sit together, mother and daughter;
Admiring fluffy clouds, marshmellow in shape;
Trying to touch them, instead you point.
Your smile lifts me.
You, my daughter;
Will experience many beautiful days of warm weather;
Hope you share some with me.
Time will pass, clouds will lose shape.
The sky will change from blue
To black, and at that point
I’ll start to miss my daughter.
Longs days of warm weather
Laying under the clear blue
sky, watching clouds take funny shape,
Your eyes tell me
Not to leave you daughter,
Please don’t be blue.
The weekend weather
Will come again
And I’ll spend it only with you.
