A Poem by Ivory

The heart

a cold cage
Confinement for dreadful memories

Wish I could erase them all

The heart is harder to erase than the mind.

If only man could obliterate those dreadful grim memories that so plague the mind, perhaps we could all begin fresh without the experience of past trauma drawing us backward. Or perhaps we’re meant to deal with those dreadful memories as a component of the past essential in building a better future. Great write. Thanks for the share.
