How Energy Drinks WorkA Story by Clarwin SchwinnThe human body needs many elements and substance to properly function and work cooperatively as a single unit. These elements and substances like protein, calcium, carbohydrates, fats, and other substances are like gasoline that makes the body move according to its functions.
One essential substance that not only human but a living organism needs is water. Water hydrates the body which is essential in its operation. Our body is like a very complicated pool filter system that water is the most essential fluid to make the flow smooth and pure. When we exhaust our body in a physical activity like sport, we lose big amounts of water through perspiration. This is the natural mechanism of body to release heat when we get active. If body loses water, it will be dangerous for the body and quick rehydration is a must. Rehydration There are energy drinks that rehydrate body in an instant. This energy drinks are often used in sport activities due to hyper activity and movement of the players. They lose almost double sweat compared to people who just do simple running and physical activities. These drinks quickly rehydrate body that ordinary water cannot do in an instant. It helps to bring fluids back to its former condition before being exhausted. Insulin Some energy drinks function differently from rehydration. These are energy drinks which the main function is to energize the body especially when we face heavy workloads or long hours of activity. The liver and pancreas are the main organs that these energy drinks aid. The liver and pancreas manufacture insulin that the human body needs to formulate usable energy. Energy drinks help to boost the production of insulin for a more energetic and hyper body. The source of insulin is glucose. Glucose can be found in sugar, carbohydrates, energy drinks, vitamins and other intakes. These substances give pancreas and liver the elements it need to create the usable energy which is insulin. How Energy Drinks Create Insulin? Energy drinks are high in glucose level that in just an instant, it could give the energy that body needs in such situation. After the intake of energy drink, liver and pancreas will produce more insulin since there has been an increase in glucose intake. It will then result to a usable energy that if not used, might result negatively. Adrenalin Have you already seen an old woman or a very thin man carried a two-door fridge during a fire? This is what we call Adrenalin Rush. Adrenalin is the substance created by the pancreas in times that the body needs extreme amount of energy. This is the natural response of the body to the situation that the mind perceives. When energy drink is taken into the body, there will be an increase in the glucose intake. When there is an increase in glucose level, the tendency is to create more insulin for the usable energy. The pancreas will double its production and create more insulin as the situation requires. When insulin blends with other useful substances in the body, it forms into Adrenalin. This is now the energy which is a lot more powerful than the usual usable energy that the body produces. Negative Effects Too much intake of glucose will boost the production of pancreas and liver. If there is too much production of insulin and it is not being burned by the body, it will be stocked. Too much insulin could result to diabetes and unstable blood sugar. Intake Recommendation If you do not actually use too much energy, do not drink energy supplements anymore. Take vitamins instead. If you take energy drinks, make sure that you burn the energy to avoid unstable and too much insulin production by the body. Remember that the body fluid circulation is just like a swimming pool. Do not stock too much water, Do not put too much chlorine, and proper maintenance of pool parts. It’s good to be energized, but remember to burn it to avoid any bad effects. © 2010 Clarwin Schwinn |
