Understand

Fears, regrets, and everything in between,
It's a part of life, but not easy to accept.
All the unexpected twist and turns,
Just adding to the confusion,
Making things more complicated than they need to be.
How little we understand,
Yet how vast our knowledge seems to be,
Just shows how much more we have to learn,
In order to completely fathom the idea of our lives.

Day in and day out, more problems seem to surface,
Leaving us to question our world's safety,
And what state we'll be left in once it's over.
Mentality seems to be ever decreasing,
More and more reckless actions,
Occurring over some stupid argument,
Or just for the sake of doing it.
It's constantly becoming harder,
To understand what the heck is happening.

Yet what's adding to the confusion,
Is our tiny bit of understanding,
Of what really goes on in our heads,
All the overwhelming emotions, ideas, and everything in between,
Adding to the twists and turns that are already put before us.
If only they could understand,
If only we could understand.
If only everyone could understand,
Then this would be over
And maybe we'd be safe.
