for her

for her

A Poem by Clare Ashbury

What I wait for is when I hear
Hear the voice that trails through me
To make me smile and giggle
Before I rest my head upon my pillow
I hear her accent and her sweetness
She is so lovely

She makes my day bright
Exhausted she helps me slide into sleep
Then i hear her sleep within my ear
All I can do is smile
Smile because I'm wishing she is having sweet dreams

A yearning to be next to her
Be so close
To feel her skin against mine
My imagination runs wild

She is my friend first
My protector in so many ways
She is my fantasy
She is within my dreams
She is the voice I fall asleep too

Til the day I meet her
My imagination is all I have
And I am yet so blessed
With her voice
Her sweetness
Just her in the end
And her sweet breathing as she falls asleep
I just wish she was so near.

Don't change a word! It is perfect for she is perfect...Absolutely beautiful write! Bravo! Tell her of this great love...life is too short not to express yourself to the ones you love! Good flow, great sentiment, beautiful imagery! Don't change a word! I can see you lying there, a soft tender smile on your face...ah, man, that's beautiful! Author, author! It's going in my Favorites right this minute! Thank you!

this was incredibly sweet...in all its simplicity....very very beautiful too.
One change I would make is to capitalize i in the line
Then i hear her sleep within my ear

and to come up with more names fro "her" or "she" like call her the shinning sun, or a flower, it will make the peom more beautiful and interesting. But that's just my opinion
nice work
