What Difference?

What Difference?

A Poem by clairvoyantmars

They said it wouldn’t work out

Don’t find out way too late

They said we’re just too different

What difference does it make?

We’d wake up in the morning

In our house by the sea

You gulping down your coffee

Me sipping at my tea

I loved the noontime quiet

You loved the big rock bands

But when I want a quiet walk

We’d go out holding hands

You see they had it all wrong

If only they could see

Our precious times together

What difference could there be?

Some people can't just understand that sometimes the complete opposite of who you are is the person that actually completes you. A lovely poem

aaahhh...what a joy and pleasure to read such beautiful verse. I love the style here along with the word flow and rhyming. Very brilliant of you. Life and love in all its beauty indeed.

Claire,
What a beautiful, wonderful write. Short but so sweet and true. Every word perfectly and precisely used. No wasted breath.
I loved the soul, the heart and the hopeful inspiration. The answer my friend..is no difference...I Think I'll save this one as one of my favorites. Great poem, Claire

This section right here shows the compromise those in relationships have to make in order to continue. Opposites do attract but compromise is the glue that keeps those opposites together. once again good work.

Sometimes a little difference can be quite the connection. You don't need to be alike in everything.
