Alone in my distant longing The pitiful air I'm donning I close my eyes and wonder In loneliness I ponder How it feels to dance with you
Maybe one night at evening Love, this I'm just foreseeing, We'll walk towards the dance floor The world around is no more What does it feel to dance with you?
Will you put your arms around my waist And cradle me in safe embrace? Will we gaze upon each others eyes And speak in only soft replies? Oh, I want to dance with you.
Will we be so close together Like the last we saw each other? And between the soft sweet kisses, Steady breaths and stolen glances When will I first dance with you?
At gentle pace you'll guide me And leave the past behind me The world is just two people Magical, unbelievable Is this how it feels to dance with you?
And to grasp the music's last note I'll kiss you and tighten my hold You'll ask: "Anything the matter?" And in your ear I will whisper: "I know how it feels to dance with you."
It's super romantic and sweet, I love it. There's no sense of cliche here. I love how the last line of each stanza sort of matches each other. :D
Fantastic.
This is beautiful. It's so sweet and romantic, and you avoided the cliche gross mushy lovey stuff. I absolutely love the way you repeated the last line of each stanza but in a different way. This is great writing.
This has a nice rhythm. It feels kind of like you're being swept along in a romantic waltz. The only thing I didn't understand was how you could "don" air...?
