Rainy DazeA Poem by clairvoyantmarsShe finds comfort in the rain, a friend who shares pain with her.Hidden in the forgotten shadows of her mind, She gazes beyond the porcelain glaze of her eyes And out the tinted window she sees a friend Whose loud claps of thunder greets like applause The voice of her lover echoes in her head And her hand tingles at the memory of his touch Such longing for companionship is difficult And a sob escapes from her throat Slowly creeping from her protected world The cold touch of the floor jolts her awake Running into the arms of this friend She is enveloped in comfort for he is crying with her This friend cries and washes her tears away She looks up at his face, dazed at his openness Cold streaks of light flash through the sky Followed by his mighty roar of anguish She stands in the swirling midst of his pain And she reaches up to collect him in her hands “Don’t cry,” she whispers to him. “Don’t cry…” Slowly, the creases on his face smoothen And a smile of light peeks through them His gentle wind caresses her cheek in thanks And slowly he leaves and vanishes from the sky She watches him leave past the porcelain glaze of her eyes With peace once again pouring in her heart, As a parting gift she gives him a loving smile © 2011 clairvoyantmarsReviews
