Angels

Angels

A Poem by clairvoyantmars
"

Two poems about angels I wrote a long time ago.

"

I’m a fallen angel

Cast to earth to pay for my crime

They tore my golden wings off

And I’m running out of time

It seems no one can help me

Grant me this one last wish

This final act of kindness

‘Cause soon I am to perish

۞

I’ll give you this golden feather

The only memory of my heavenly past

Till one day I fell in love

And fell into sin of lust

Now my golden wings are gone

And this feather is the last of my treasures

And a constant reminder

Of why I was punished

And a love, that in the end,

Wasn’t worth anything

Love, such a sin yet so greatly desired. But I have to wonder, what does this angel really regret, and who is she really mad at?-if she holds any anger at all. Anyway, nicely done.
