Canaries Lament

Canaries Lament

A Poem by clairekeown25

watch their yellow faces as they cry,

black ash it rules their lovers skies,

fluttered lashes drip with tears,

oil covered feathers, smoke and fear,

buried now in storms of sand,

an untold story,

listless crimes.
