sias eye

sias eye

A Poem by clairekeown25

An eternity of ash trailing from your hands,

you pluck an apple from the sky,

a seed turned into forest, but disappears at the blink of an eye,

Hold hands and spin while the little girls eyes sing,

what wonder is unfolding now, a spirit dressed up in folds of cloud,

grotesque creature dying in the sand,

or a withered branch at another glance,

but I still hear its whine, only my eye changes the cry, seals it fate, a different gate,

The desert winds carry away all thought,

sweep up the stars my mind has caught.
