Oyster Dreams

Oyster Dreams

A Poem by Cassidy Mask

Don’t tell me I’m a dreamer

When your eyes are to the sky

You say the world’s your oyster

But you’re far too scared to try

You take me to the seaside

But it’s you with the saucer eyes

As you watch fragmented sparkles

On the sand, the sea, the skies

Oh take me when you travel

To the world inside your mind

And I’ll make brittle copies

Of the daydreams that we find

You tell me I’m a dreamer

But your eyes are on the sky

You say the world’s my oyster

But you stutter when you lie
