First Words Of Sense

First Words Of Sense

A Poem by Cassidy Mask

Sometimes it’s just

So hard to say what you mean

You get the words but

They just don’t mean a thing

In a room without a view

Waging war between our fingertips

Whispered words

Turned ravaging in the flicker

Between tonight and

Tomorrow.

You told me you liked

To begin the day with words

Of sense
