The Decay Of Loving

The Decay Of Loving

A Poem by Cassidy Mask

I FELL IN LOVE, WITH

THE LOOK OF IT. IN MANY WAYS

IT WAS A PLANNED EXAMPLE

                NEVERMIND.

                        I LEFT YOU THERE, YOUR

                        FINGERS GRASPING AT THE DEAD

LEAVES, YOU LOOKED ALONE.

I THINK I FELT AFRAID.

THAT WHEN YOU WOKE YOU WOULD

REMEMBER MY HASTY WORDS.

[YOU’RE JUST A GHOST TO ME NOW.]

However brief, this poem explains a great deal. I like it.
