Writing Our Own Endings

Writing Our Own Endings

A Poem by Cassidy Mask

You think you know it all

                Don’t you?

But you can’t even read my expression

Let alone my future

So I’ll put on my brave face

                The one with the scars

And we’ll see how well you do

Against such negativity and doubt

And if you win we’ll let you live

And if you don’t

You better get your running shoes on

Because we’re used to writing our own endings

                And we’ll happily fix yours.
