Your Personal Shadow (Ghost)

Your Personal Shadow (Ghost)

A Poem by Cassidy Mask
"

hmmm...

"

Haunting you

Is like being

A shadow

I stand politely

At your

Shoulder

Waiting my turn

To speak

I cough quietly

When you make

A mistake

I laugh when

You make

A joke

And back you

In a

Fight

I listen to

You

With the most

Rapt attention

Even when

No one

Else cares

What you have

To say

When you

Embarrass

Yourself

I blush along with you

My pale

Complexion

Darkening

Weakly

I just wish you

Knew

What an

Effort I put in

To being

Your personal

Shadow

(Ghost.)

This is like how I used to think of my "gardian angel", but I prefer the idea of it being a ghost.

dark & mysterious. makes a person think. maybe i have a shadow/ ghost standing by me. it doesn't make me feel quite so alone. nicely written & creative imagery. a beautiful read.
