Sunny Disposition

Sunny Disposition

A Poem by Cassidy Mask
"

Inspired by Ciara and an Art lesson - Not sure i like it...

"

I'm sitting here

At your side

Shadowed by your

Sunny Disposition

Do you notice the way

Your happiness

Reflects in my eyes

A poor replica

Of the bright smile

And happy words

Do you notice the way

Next to you my skin

Is pale an almost translucent

Shade of grey

While your's shines

Like a summers day

(But not in Wales

Where the rain

Is closer to my own colour)

Do you notice

My pained expression

As you radiate

All things good and joyous

While I sit hunched

Over a drawing of death

What’s in my head

I wondered aloud

And you laughed

(The noise like the soft

Tinkling of wind chimes)

Something dark You said

Your always thinking

About killing people

It was a joke

And I laughed

Right along with you

Wishing more than ever

That your

Sunny Disposition

Were contagious

So I could see the world

Through your golden irises

Rather than through

My own choppy grey eyes

(Like the North Sea

My father once said)

Though I thought them

Closer to the colour

Of dust

As it settles over

A stationary object

A stationary heart

I am a constant source of inspiration. And yeah, blantantly I'm so much better than you and your pencil grey eyes :p.
"You always think of killing people, don't you Claire?"
