The Perfect Picture

The Perfect Picture

A Poem by Cassidy Mask

The sky

A blue and brittle

Structure

The grass

A soft green

Foreground

The mountains

A misted grey

Backdrop

And her

Among it all

Lying in a fan

Of golden hair

Lying in a pool

Of crimson blood

Lying broken

A last ironic smile

Twisting her

Pale blue lips

A mocking gesture

For those

Who forced her

To this end

The perfect picture

The perfect end
