Watch.

Watch.

A Poem by C.
"

Had to write something in response to a particular image. I can't remember if we had to do poetry or not, but I probably would have done it anyway.

"

The world is

gray today.

And

the smell of

dirty tar

stings the nostrils of

passers-by.

Still,

each thing is

in its place;

except

the fog.

The fog

slinks into sleeves and teases wrists

and ankles.

It even is so

bold

as to

kiss

the watch,

leaving curious

dew-drops on its indifferent

face.

I like this. It is full of wonderful description and images. It is a little simplistic up to the end. I found the ending very smartly written and wonderfully described. "leaving curious/dew-drops on its indifferent/face" is a really cool couple lines. I really enjoyed the read. The one problem I found was the odd capitalization of "And" in L3. I didn't understand it. Explanation? Thanks for sharing this poem. Keep on writing and keep on sharing! Have a great day!

The world is gray today
I really liked reading this
It always makes me uncomfortable when a poem is spaced in a way unnatural to how my brain reads it but it's always done with a reason I realize
The title of the poem was especially intriguing
I love how it's inspired by a photo too, little things always create lots of inspiration
Great job
