The Prophecy

The Prophecy

A Poem by Christine

This is the beginning to a little something that I've been working on. It's going to be a little sci-fi, a little fantasy, some action and adventure, and of course my favorite...a lot of romance. There will be strange names (which I will provide pronuncia

The Prophecy

pronunciation for
Eleusinian:
El·eu·sin·ian (eel-yü-zee-an)

In the land of Eleusinian,
where all is green and fair,
peace, love, and happiness
are magics that currently dwell there.

To the East there is a Kingdom,
ruled by an evil hand
that will one day bring doom
to the peace that is Eleusinian.

For many a year her people will weep,
the sorrows and tears will reap,
pain and sadness through-out the land
brought to her by this evil man.

The Queen of Eleusinian though is speared,
and she will give birth to the rightful heir.
Spirited away the child will go
to another land where it will flourish and grow.

The child will grow...magic strong.
And one day return to where it belongs,
to take up it's rightful place
at the royal magic sacred space,
bringing peace back to the land,
the land once known as Eleusinian.

Trials and pain, the heir will know,
but the heir shall learn, thrive, and grow.
Only with allies true and strong
will the heir bring right from what is wrong.

The Sword of Light the heir must find.
The quest will take considerable time.
Over mountains, mists, and seas...
battling monsters, magic, and thieves.
Allies become friends, and help win Eleusinian.

Danger lurks around every corner.
Evil thwarts every mark,
At times the heir will have to travel, teetering the border of the Dark.
Careful the band of comrades must tread,
or more than one could end up dead.
Should that happen, be the case,
all would be naught but a waste.
Careful, must the heir be...
after one then there be three.
Three foes to fight, three tests to win.
To finish the quest to save Eleusinian.

Awesome dude!

Once again you shock me. This poem was amazing. You kept me hooked through the entire piece and I wanted to find out more and more. Although, I have the inside scoop, but still the images and story you condensed is fantastic. I want to see more poems from you. Keep writing!
