Window To The World

Window To The World

A Poem by Lost?

A pane of glass keeps me in,

keeps you out.

Lets me see what I can't have

and you see what you don't want.

This thin invisable wall,

stands in my way.

I'm allowed to look, never to play.

I'm trapped as the world flashes by.

One day I'll break the window

and join the world in its dance,

but not until I'm ready,

not until I can look in other windows,

and keep from screaming.

This is great and I understand these feelings on a personal level. I've actually written something with the similar thoughts...you see a life you're afraid to claim, afraid to live, for whatever reason. Very well done, I enjoy all your writing so much.

This poem reminds me of my jealousy, how sometimes i read books or my friends share stories and i get frustrated because nothing so fun would even dare knock on my door (or window).
