This Old Photograph

This Old Photograph

A Poem by Lost?

I've missed you old friend.

I've missed your smile,

your laugh.

The way you used to hold me,

the way everything made sense when you did.

I miss the strawberry ice cream on saturdays,

I miss the quite drives at midnight.

I miss the flush of your cheeks,

and the sparkle in your eyes.

I miss you.

But I have this old photograph,

and the old memories that go with it.

I'll join you soon enough.

My time is almost up.

Be patient my dear friend.

I'm coming.

Ah, this is heart breaking. My brother passed away a few years ago and I can totally relate to this poem. You capture the emotion well. I like the descriptions, it makes you feel intimate with the people involved with the poem.
