I could tell you all the things,

I would do if I was your girl . . .

But would you take advantage

And pretend that you appreciate me

And once I am bound to be yours

Would you step all over me?

I could cherish and love you

Through the good and the bad,

But would you do the same for me?

Would you admit your mistakes

And see that we’re imperfect?

I’m reaching out to you,

But you don’t see me.

I’m giving you my heart,

Even though they’re in shattered pieces,

It’s all that I have that’s left of me,

Would you still break it?

Don’t just tell me

How you appreciate me,

Show me that you are,

By coming clean with me.
