From the moment,

I knew it was true.

My tears over flowed

With happiness for you.

 

I couldn’t wait to share the news,

That this very day,

I would soon have you.

 

As time went on,

I fought my best,

To have you near,

But the only option,

left,

Was to give you a away.

 

It broke my heart,

For a difficult decision.

But I could not bear,

For you to carry my tears.

 

For so long,

I kept a promise

Deep in my heart,

That I’d find someway,

To break the cycle.

 

I couldn’t have you,

With the situation I was in,

So I asked God

If he could take you in.

 

Nine months later,

And here you are.

Right in front of me.

In mommy’s arms.

 

I had to hold my tears back,

Knowing the decision

Was already made.

 

But loving you,

Would never end.

 

Someday I hope,

As you read this in your hand,

That mommy always loved you,

And prayed that you’d

Never forget.

 

My precious, Angel.

So innocent and sweet.

Never knowing

Where life may lead you,

Never stop to wonder,

What you are doing right now.

 

Someday, I pray

That you will find

The courage to seek me out.

How I would love to see the very eyes,

That looked into mine
