What you taught me.A Poem by Chong N. Kim
WHAT YOU TAUGHT ME!
When you yell at me, You taught me that anger is a split second away from violence. When you tell me that I can do nothing right; you've taught me the fear of achievement. When you leave me alone with strangers, that you barely know; You've taught me, that if something they do to me, won't matter to you. When you beat me in rage, I beg for death, in order to get out. When your anger is filled with hate, I treat others with bitterness. When I come to you for comfort, And I am ignored; You've taught me that my feelings don't matter. When I make mistakes, and you condemn me with the words of "Hell". I've learned there are no second chances. When I see you steal from others, you've taught me to take what I want. when you lie to me, I've learned that my life is filled with fairytales. Of all the things you've taught me, then you wonder why I act the way I do, Then ask yourself? What you taught me? By: Chong N. Kim 1-14-01 © 2008 Chong N. KimReviews
