Pothole

Pothole

A Poem by Q'ANIL
"

We have forgotten who we truly are

"

I am an unconscious being,

living inside a pothole

where there are many lights

cast deep within

I do not allowing myself

the freedom to touch.

From these lights,

impressions dance

on the stonewalls of this pothole,

            this cave,

and chains imprison me always

with the untouched beauty of optimism.

By controlling the mind,

allowing myself to hear

the whispered words of harmony,

which create transformational vibes,

I will be able to feel existence

and know

the pleasure that is the thrill to believe.

It is in the state of stillness

where the replica of the true nature of myself

            brings relief;

it is where the beauty stares back,

severing the chains,

altering the pothole I live in.

In the state of quietness,

I become

a conscious being

and step through the eclipse.
