Bride On Painting

Bride On Painting

A Poem by pristine

The beautiful bride on the painting

Seems to be waiting for something

She sits on a wooden chair

Her face partly covering her hair

It was such a lovely art

It absolutely captured my heart

It caught my attention

This art is for collection

There’s something with her eyes

Sadness she can’t disguise

As she sits by the window

Her beauty made her glow

A long white gown she was wearing

White roses her hands are holding

Such a waste to display in that hall

I decided to hang it on my wall

I fancied the beautiful bride

Enough to make my smile wide

I longed for her to be real

And on the church together we’ll kneel

A tale I found out one day

The previous owner had to say

That beautiful bride on the painting

Found hanging on the day of her wedding

A man she was meant to marry

Left her broken terribly

She felt no love for him

Ended her life on a whim

The beautiful bride on the painting

A long red gown she now seemed to be wearing

She was still lovely with her clad

Though she was once covered with blood.
