Half SwoonA Poem by Cody AustinSome off the wall spoken word.
I'm floating on a raft in Nova Scotia
Toting a bar of soap
I could have said boat But I'm painting impossible imagery With likely symmetry Between a cliche and a paradox Molly bought me a drink So now I'm Rolling Rock Docking my boat and off with my coat Because it's my birthday And my suit is at the dry cleaners My only wish is for a dry wiener Blow out the candles And handle my manhood Until the Eskimos become cannibals Global warming's forming in the North Pole Conforming to Elf Culture Have Buddy call you a Cotton Headed Ninny Muggins Swap out your plug-ins and sell em' for drugs kids It's simple mathematics You're better off having a bad habit Than dealing with a world tragically decaying from the inside out That's because we're the pulse And people get caught up in what's false, and dishonest So if you want something make progress And take your conscience and turn it off Because the thoughts you never say mean nothing to me So start being something and stop trying to be © 2015 Cody AustinFeatured Review
