10 feet of rope
barrel of a gun
shiny switchblade knife
life is no fun

car exhaust fumes
big bottle of pills
18-storey building
life has no thrills

falling so fast
waiting to die
so damn easy
for suicide

flat on the sidewalk
stuck to the wall
climb the ladder of life
trip, stumble, fall

take the p***y way out
do what you will
but comitting suicide
would give me no thrill

live to conquer all
put down that f*****g knife
cuz the best decision you ever made
is to decide life

as a 'suicide widow' i find these words hard to choke down. but that is my reference and mine alone. thank you for the advice and the "double dare" at the end. i always wish people would give life just one more sunrise... but then again, i am not them. your love of living is clearly evident. though this was a hard poem for me as a reader, it was a good write nonetheless.

my own personal thing, having myself attempted then getting better and now i'm like all "happy" about life the message is clear to me life will be hard, yes it will, but take those stumbles adn "decide life" i loved this poem it just really touched home and it's nicely written even. good job.

Not what I would call a dark piece, but very very well written. I salute you. The only thing that I would consider, is maybe a revision of that last line. It reads a little funny. Other than that, bravo. I love the message. Not too many people realize that by committing suicide, you're not escaping your pain, you're binding yourself to it, at least, by my standards and faith. Wow! This poem says a lot! It is sad to think some people do not have friends or family to turn to. This is a good piece of poetry!
