Healing Tears From AboveA Poem by Mike MountsA poem reflecting the feeling I get from falling rain, and the sound it makes, as it calms me and heals my soul.My soul awakes from its afflicted slumber; Churning and convulsing my mind has not found rest. I am continually haunted by echoes of days of limitless number. As my eyes struggle to focus between the dream world, And the world watching and waiting to rupture my resolve; My chest inflates with calming air as I advance on troubles hurled. The tat-tat-tat of fallen tears rap against the window; They call me like a siren luring me to her rocky shores. I follow the alluring sound, calming, like the cooing of a mourning dove. As my eyes begin to drink of the sight of the falling tears; My mind leads me toward thousands of breaking crystal drops. My skin convinces me the rinsing drops will calm my fears. I walk and stand beneath the falling, healing shower, As my face cries out in relief from the caressing streams; My mind begins to calm, as I am thankful for natures regenerative power.
