Compromise

A poem I wrote months ago and am just now getting it up because I just found it again.

Hate, anger, and pain

 

Together form the biting rain

 

That washes away the love

 

That we all seem to dread

 

And the thought it tries to shove

 

Inside our aching head

 

Is of a peaceful earth

 

But sadly for us all

 

This plan has not been birthed

 

And the calm begins to fall

 

So in the end we see

 

That peace is not maintained

 

And we should just be happy

 

With hate, anger, and pain
