Manufactured Cynicism

Manufactured Cynicism

A Story by N. Hadley

There is so much manufactured, superficial cynicism in the world today.
The idiots wield it as fact - “Are we an honest society?” a teacher will
ask and the kids will laugh and say “No, we are not. Like we don’t care
about each other”. They’ve learned these things from a young age these
things yet they do not truly understand them, you can tell. They’re just
parrots repeating the things they heard on television. The
teacher will praise them for thinking “deeply” and they queue the next
tape in the reel for another question.
