Willow

Willow

A Poem by Ciara Evelyn Silver
"

My pup Willow passed away.

"
She sits by the tree of sorrow,
She thinks of a better tomorrow.
Sinking into a depressing state,
She sits by her tree and she waits.
She feels all these built up emotions
Fear, anger,sadness,and hate.
It couldn't happen,
Why was it her?
As she sit and waits,
Waits by her weeping willow.

Sad and emotional, wonderfully-written. There are so many heartbreaking elements--a sad girl sitting beneath a sad willow tree, mourning a pup named "Willow". An air of profound innocence, too. This one's a bit special, I think.
