The Spider

The Spider

A Poem by Mr. Secrecy

They all fell into his web eventually,
Prey to his web of lies.
Fake smiles, empty compliments,
all the while whispering sweet nothings to them.
Luring them in little by little,
a gentle touch here,
a seductive wink there.
Lured by his beauty,
his mystery.
Once in the web, none escape,
none want to.
There he 'feasts',
his prey writhe in undeniable pleasure.
Once full, he tosses them aside,
no matter how much they plead to stay.
All of his prey soon realize,
he is to be feared, not loved.
He is not a creature of the light,
but of the dark.

This reminded me so much of this guy I know because it sounds exactly like how he views relationships and intimacy and the like. In all honesty, it made me angry when I read it - because I was thinking about him - but definitely in a good way. I really love it!
