“BE A MAN”A Poem by Charlene HughesWanting someone to love me and only meIs this what I mean to you, ignore me when you can? Forget that I exist, don’t want to be my man? Tell me that you care for me. Say things you never meant, Want me to be there for you when your other woman can’t? What did you not understand, when I told you I wanted no games? Did you misunderstand and think this did not include your name? Sexy, sweet, beautiful, I thought I heard you say, This would be the relationship that you wanted to go all the way. “Call me baby, everyday, I want to hear your voice,” “You could never bother me,” I think were your words of choice.” If you didn’t mean these things, why did they come to be? You could have kept them to yourself. It would not have bothered me. Be a man, come straight out, tell me if you dare, I can always find another, who might actually care. © 2015 Charlene Hughes |

I find that I write more poetry when I am feeling my lowest. That hasn't been for a while now but I would like to share some of what I have written. I have written on wha.. more..Writing
