This has a very unique voice that captured me immediately. I really like the rhythm in the lines and how they paint vividly what is going on. I absolutely love the way that this story has a different approach than most would take in that situation, and the fact that it isn't until later that we realize exactly what she is expressing makes it even more powerful. Very well done.

What a heart-wrenching situation this can be...I've been in this situation but admittedly, I've never been as much of a good sport as the voice of this piece. You have laid out the painful realities of this scenario with a gentle yet almost devastating beauty...great piece :)

This poem is heartbreakingly wonderful. I love the repetition of the line 'Write to me my darling'. It's sad how the girl sacrificed her own love for the boy's. The element of writing and that of love put together can do wonders, as it has done over here. Beautiful write. Shelving it. Xx.
