The Lovely Fear

Always been brave

Never been scared

Had walked in darkness

With mighty courage

Never been afraid

Of waking up alone

For all my life I knew

There's only 'Me' that I can count to

But I was wrong

Been wrong all along

For when I saw the dark street

I hesitated for a moment

A strange feeling crept unto me

That stunned my both knees

For the first time in my life

I was afraid for my own safety

What if there's some jerk out there?

What if the darkness' hiding some danger?

I suddenly felt fear

Fear of not seeing you again

Now I just want to be safe always

And return to the warmth of your embrace
