MaydayA Poem by SimpleMindDon't get me wrong. It’s there In the middle of nowhere No north, no south Even the stars refused to guide The night is black and unfriendly The wind whispers solitude And the ocean seems like graveyard Waiting for its tenant Yes, the sea is vast But there ain’t a single path to take Slowly, and slowly It shrinks The biting cold, It’s making it numb But why still feel pain? Slowly It shrinks deeper It’s peach black, darker than before And it’s suffocating But it’s too tired to struggle At last, the last hit of pain And then it’ll all be gone As it shrinks deeper, It widens its eyes It wants to see How the world looks like The world that is never fair Yes, it will remember Laying beneath the forgotten darkness It will always remember.
