My Mom

My Mom

A Poem by SimpleMind
"

We'll meet soon

"

She is standing there

In her blue dress

That is blown by the friendly breeze

Her hair is silky straight

I got her big eyes

And her thin lips

She smiles as if it’s the last

She talks with the wind

She moves with grace

Ah! She’s perfectly lovely

I can imagine

Pieces and pieces of her senses

She is lovely

She is beautiful

Though I haven’t seen her even once

I know she is beautiful

Author's Note

SimpleMind
I am always dreaming of seeing my real mother one day. She left without a word and trace, but I know I will be able to understand whatever the reason is. I love her, no doubt with that. Some said she's a whore, but who cares? We all have only one mother, and loving them is the only way we can feel how to be a child. Perhaps, I haven't been a daughter before. But I am myself now, so maybe..just maybe, I can be a daughter someday.

Beautiful piece and I'm sorry for the lateness of this review once again.
Being a daughter is about accepting a parents love and appreciating it, you'll do fine, trust me :)

I know you will
Such a mournful and yet hopeful piece. I think this is absolutely beautifully done. I love the description of your mother, and the ending is like a stab in the heart "Even if I haven't seen her even once". Beautiful.

I would maybe suggest, in the line "Even if I haven't seen her even once" a little change...maybe something like "Though I haven't seen her even once"--just the two "even"'s in on sentence throws off the reading.

Overall...strikingly beautiful.

Powerful poem, great description and lots of emotions packed into such a small, condensed space. I too never met my mother, so I know the feeling behind this. It's uplifting, and that's the kind of feeling we all want to feel when we think of the person who brought us into the world. Excellent writing, keep it up!

The poem is moving! very realistic and full of emotion. I remember my Mom, she is always beautiful, just like what you expressed in this poem. Those sweet memories with our mother will always linger in our my mind and it is rooting deep in anybodys heart. Our Mom is the most beautiful person in this world that we can't afford to loss. Love this piece! Thanks for sharing!
