Unprejudiced

Unprejudiced

A Poem by Chrys Marie
"

Out to save myself and no one else.

"
i walk where the line is thin,
the place where i know i'll win.
my loyalty, i hold to no one.
my allegiance, sworn to none.

wage your war, fight your battles,
burn down each other's chapels.
but you'll find me elsewhere
where i'm kept out of your affair.

survivors like me do all we can,
even do work as a middleman.
as long as it's saving our skin,
then that would be our only sin.

call me judas, call us traitors,
even tell us to your instigators.
but don't forget the rule of war:
it spares no one and no more.
