the devil may have claimed his soul but i have claimed his heart and i will break down the devil's gates and tear through the circles of hell even if it means damning myself but giving salvation to him
Great powerful short poem! I have done this- many years ago with my husband, before we were married. It is not fantasy- it is real, and the battle intense, but well worth it. I think of the movie "what dreams may come" where the main character travels to hell to find his love and rescue her, almost losing his own soul in the process. Great idea for a poem, and well-written, with the intensity of declaration.

Such a dramatic lovely idea. Bringing in the wonderful selfless love of a woman. I always think they portray the damsel in distress so often, but this sacrifice, this true dedicated love of women is such a virtue of the feminine, rescuing maybe not as dramatic as prince charming on his horse but still saves the life of a doomed soul.
Great stuff.
