The Scourge of Windows 10

Today I rushed to my computer to draft out a very urgent and important document.

I switched on my computer, signed in and came suddenly face to face with a blue screen with white transcripts announcing..,

"Preparing to configure Windows

Do not turn off your computer!"

So I waited a short while whilst that image below kept on circling..,

After a long while, I thought I would take a walk out into my back garden. Got chatting with a few of my neighbours and one of them encouraged me to go for a run around the park with their dog Shadow!

Got back home a good while later, checked my computer and that image was still circling and saying..,

"Preparing to configure Windows

Do not turn off your computer!"

(We know where you live!)

Time went slowly by and then a friend rang me up to go on an adventure holiday. I quickly packed my bags, went on a skiing trip to Switzerland, did a 'Bungi-jump' off some bridge in Malaysia, then went to the Himalayas and climbed Mount Everest there and back.

Got back home again and checked on my Windows 10 computer..,

"Installing Windows Updates

Don't, I said don't turn off your computer!"

I now forget why I turned it on in the first place!
