My Rap

My Rap

A Story by Christine Peters

Born in the Forties so having my say.,

Doing my thing - havin' a good day.

Ridin' the streets on my mobility scooter.,

Not giving a damn or even blowing my hooter!

People pass and people groan.,

Get out of my way get off your phone!

People say Hi and let me pass.,

I'm all tooled up wiv' my bus pass.

I move to the left and I swing to the right.,

Maybe so high on this Spice?

Shizzle my dizzle 'cause I'm off to Aldi.

Gettin' bad bananas to dappy my day.

I mean I just don't get this latest street talk.,

I get a pain in the Gregory everytime I hear it.

I used to get a bull and cow from my late ex.,

I was his trouble and strife.

He used to shout down from the apple and rabbit in my boat,

Before going on the dog to meet with his china plates in their gaff,

Whilst leavin' me Jack Jones.

Then coming home Brahms borrasic lint.,

Leaving me for the rest of the week without any bread and honey.

Having a butchers look at my Bristol Cities even though I was cream.,

'Till I kicked him in his cobblers awls and punched him in his crust of bread,

Followed by a kick up his Khyber.,

Put on my daisies and weasel and ran up the frog leaving him with only a J. Arthur.

But now its all gone Pete Tong!

You see., that is old British language that all kids should learn today.
