Wednesday Is a Good Day to Die

Wednesday Is a Good Day to Die

A Story by Christine Peters
"

My Thoughts

"

Wednesday's child is full of woe..,

Wednesday itself is full of woe..,

It's the worst day of the week.

It lies in the very middle of a weekend, gone or to come.,

And has nothing in itself in which to offer.

It's a very good day to die!

Wednesday is also a good day to rain heavily and let the wind blow, end your relationship and possibly drown all your sorrows in a good malt whiskey.

Simply because nobody expects anything better out of a Wednesday.

A funeral might be planned for Wednesday, because nothing else in between ever makes the day eventful.

I hate Wednesday - it should be banned.

Monday is fine as one is getting over a heavy weekend, but Wednesday is just going nowhere.

Who in their right mind ever looks forward to a Wednesday?

The 'Scaffold' got it wrong..,

Wednesday is not roasta' beef - that's on a Sunday.

Wednesday is probably the left overs from the Sunday roast made into an over-boiled stewed-stew.

Wednesday is plausibly a day to check your bank balance to see if you overdid it last weekend and what hope you may have for the following Friday.

Wednesday is also possibly the day for all bad news to enter your letter box: final reminders, parking fines or dreaded hospital results from your last visit.

Wednesday should be changed to 'Duvet-day' in which we can all remain in bed for the whole of the dreaded day.
