If I Should Die Tomorrow

If I Should Die Tomorrow

A Story by Christine Peters

If I should die tomorrow,

Imagine that.

No more enduring cold or excessive heat.

No more worrying about my job or costly bills.

No more caring should I break the law and serve hard sentence for just a minimal offence that makes me a criminal.

No more worrying about who I should vote for when at the end, they are all just the same.

No more worrying about next day, week, month or year and what it all might entail.

No more worrying about what kind of death I might incur: heart, lung, bowels or liver. One of them is surely to get me in the end.

Life has been for some such a luxurious trail but for many over the centuries such a hard endeavour.

Is death itself our heaven " a world of such peace and hell just continuing on with so much anguish and pain with living?
