Insecurities

Insecurities

A Poem by chrizyzoo
"

We all have our insecurities but others can hide it better than other people

"
You look at yourself in the mirror,
Wondering...
What do you look like to other people?
We all have our insecurities...
Friends would say to us that we look good,
Our skin looks good,
Our hair looks good,
That our body is looking good.
But to us, our bodies have many flaws...
To us,
Our skin is either too light or too dark,
Our hair is either too wavy or too straight,
Our eyes or ears are either too big or too small, etc.
Even with those insecurities,
Some people can just walk away from the mirror and be confident that they still appeal to others.
However others decide to wear clothes that hide away most of their 'insecurities'.
To those that hide, they envy those that seem seemingly perfect
However we all should know that even those people have insecurities
Because we are only human,
Full of flaws and insecurities.

Chrizyzoo, your poem touches a very sensitive topic. to be content within our own skin is an act of trust and a choice we make. good luck on your journey of self-appreciation. :D
